Organic Traveller Sunscreens: A Candid Review

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out two sunscreens from the Organic Travellers range, and here's my honest review of each product.

1. Organic Traveller Glow SPF: Tinted Sunscreen

On paper, the Organic Traveller Glow SPF seems promising with its high SPF and mineral sunscreen formulation, ideal for sensitive skin, kids, and pregnant women. However, my experience with this product was not as satisfactory as I had hoped. During application, the sunscreen tended to peel off, which made the process frustrating and ineffective. Unfortunately, this issue overshadowed any potential benefits the product might have offered.

2. Organic Traveller Sheer SPF: Oily/Acne Prone Skin Sunscreen

Price: Rs. 1,799.00 PKR

SPF: 40 Sunscreen

Type: Chemical

Formula: Gel

Finish: Not matte

Suitable for: Acne-prone and oily skin (as the brand suggested)

Coverage: Leaves no white cast, suitable for dark skin tones

Active Ingredients: Octyl methoxycinnamate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (BEMT), Uvinul A Plus

Fragrance: Yes

Non-comedogenic

Directions: 2 pumps for face

The Organic Traveller Sheer SPF sunscreen is marketed as a solution for oily and acne-prone skin. However, my experience with this product left me disappointed. The sunscreen caused a burning sensation in my eyes, and its silicone-based formula made my skin feel excessively greasy and slippery. It didn't absorb easily and felt like it just sat on top of my skin, which was far from the matte finish I had hoped for.

Final Thoughts:

While the Organic Travellers Sunscreens line shows promise with its diverse offerings, my personal experiences with these two products were less than stellar. The Organic Traveller Glow SPF's peeling issue made it impractical, and the Organic Traveller Sheer SPF's burning sensation and greasy feel were definite drawbacks. It's essential to remember that individual reactions to skincare products can vary, and what didn't work for me might work well for others.

As with any skincare purchase, I recommend patch testing these sunscreens first to see how your skin responds. Ultimately, finding the right sunscreen is crucial for protecting your skin, and while the Organic Travellers Sunscreens might not have met my expectations, they could still be worth exploring for those with different skin types and preferences.
